In the early 1990s, Zhang successfully planned, produced and participated in the performance of South China's first rock album, Great Southern Rock, and its series, and discovered many newcomers and dozens of rock bands for China's original music scene. Since then, he broke the South rock-free situation, created the first of South rock and roll, and wrote a new history of Chinese rock and roll. Mengmeng Zhang once formed a rock band in Beijing, and later went to Shenzhen and Guangzhou for development.
